Web Design…
I had always maintained that I am not very good at web design. I don’t dislike it, in fact I find the tech stack behind complex web apps quite fascinating, but on my own time? For my own pleasure? I typically have other priorities. Procrastinating, playing Destiny or thinking about building an OpenGL renderer, for example.
The thing is, though, this framework I’ve found sort of circumvents my grievances with modern web developement. It’s simple, effective, FAST (which I love) and doesn’t involve six layers of constantly updated and maintained technology precariously threaded together.
So sure, whilst I can appreciate a lovingly animated and graphically designed website that some artiste probably spent many sleepless nights chasing, this is what works for me!
- Key lessons:
- HUGO is neat!
- I really do like lightweight stuff.
- I need Markdown practice.
- By the way - this post is totally for helping me remember the syntax of what posts need to follow on here. I hope you don’t mind.
